INTRO:
Another company appearing here on the IEMs And Music for the first time, and it’s one whose products I’ve been wanting to review for a while… I’m talking about SIVGA! A strong brand in the headphones scenario, it recently started exploring the IEMs market. I’m delighted to be able to review two IEMs at once and make a brief comparison. First, the SIVGA QUE was released, and then the QUE UTG after.

UNBOXING:
PHYSICAL ASPECTS:
Construction:
- Both are identical physically.
- They are the same in terms of construction.
- Shell made of metal (zinc).
- Wooden faceplate.
- The UTG has a varnished wood finish.
- The QUE has the logo carved into the wood.
- It has two vents per side (ventilation holes).
- Excellent build quality. Sturdy.
- Metal IEMs are more durable, but heavier.
- Great number of accessories.
- Great case. Semi-rigid. Zipper closure.
Eartips:
- There are two types of eartips for each IEM.
- Sizes S/M/L.
- Standard size: if you wear a M, then it’s an M.
- They’re great eartips, all very soft.
- The UTG’s ‘gray’ eartips have a similar system to the SpinFit.
- Both come with SIVGA’s proprietary eartip (logo on the eartip).
- I don’t see the need to buy more eartips (subjective).
- I tested with the “SIVGA” [size M].
Cable:
- Both have silver-plated cables (aesthetically very nice).
- The UTG comes with a modular cable (3.5mm & 4.4mm Bal plugs).
- Excellent modular system: small and easy to swap out plugs.
- The UTG cable is better (personal opinion).
- The QUE cable is thicker than I’d like (but not a problem).
- The QUE cable is heavier than I’d like (but not a problem).
- Good malleability (QUE).
- Great malleability (UTG).
- Doesn’t get tangled.
- Doesn’t get creased.
- No microphony.
- The QUE earhooks are as I prefer, without ripples.
- The Chin Slider can slip (more so on the QUE).
- 2-pin 0.78mm connectors.
Fit and comfort:
- Good fit – stable in the ears (subjective).
- Very comfortable. Good ergonomics.
- Good for medium to large ears.
- Medium insertion.
- Good isolation.
- At 10g, they’re not the lightest or heaviest (but they’re not uncomfortable).
- I tend to prefer lighter IEMs.
Earphone kit (accessories):
- QUE earphones.
- 7 pairs of eartips (S/M/L).
- 3.5mm cable.
- Semi-rigid case.
- Manual and QC pass.
- QUE UTG earphones.
- 7 pairs of eartips (S/M/L).
- Modular Cable.
- 3.5mm and 4.4mm plugs.
- Semi-rigid case.
- Manual and QC pass.
SOUND ASPECTS:
Sound:
- QUE: Balanced, natural, warm, and engaging sound.
- UTG: Neutral-bright, technical, detailed, and forward sound.
- QUE: More all-rounder tuning. Recommended for popular music, Rock, Pop, etc.
- UTG: More analytical tuning. Recommended for jazz, classical, instrumentals, etc.
- I liked QUE better because it has a more coherent and musical sound (subjective).
- UTG is also good, but it works for a smaller portion of my library.
- QUE is my recommendation because it’s cheaper and has a more “correct” sound.
Bass:
– Quantitative:
- QUE: Moderate.
- UTG: Moderate to low.
- Not for bassheads.
- QUE: Sub-bass and mid-bass are present.
- UTG: Bass is quantitatively lower (compared to QUE).
- QUE: Has a little more mid-bass than UTG.
– Qualitative:
- QUE: Full-bodied, controlled, versatile, warm bass, good texture, good physicality.
- UTG: More discreet, more linear, leaner, less physical, less textured (compared to QUE).
- Good extension for both.
- Good definition for both.
- The impact is slightly stronger on QUE.
- Doesn’t invade the mids (both).
- QUE: Has more dynamics for genres like EDM, Hip-Hop, POP, etc.
- UTG: Bass that follows the recordings (doesn’t stand out).
Mids:
– Quantitative and qualitative:
- QUE: Mids neither recessed nor forward.
- UTG: “Forward” upper-mids.
- QUE: Coherent pinna gain.
- UTG: Pinna gain with more projection.
- QUE: Has more engaging, warm, and full-bodied mids.
- UTG: The mids are cold, dry, and more direct.
- Definition is good in both.
- UTG has a slight touch of more clarity and airiness.
- UTG emphasizes the upper-mids up to the initial treble (I’m sensitive in this region).
- Those with sensitivity in this region may experience fatigue.
Voices:
- QUE: Good for both types, low and high, though not excellent for either.
- UTG: Great performance for female/high voices.
- QUE: It’s better for my library (80% are low voices).
- UTG: Not good for male/low voices, it sounds thin and lack texture.
- Important detail about UTG voices in the treble section below.
Treble:
– Quantitative:
- QUE: Moderate.
- UTG: Moderate to high.
- If you are sensitive to high frequencies, QUE is the best option.
- UTG can cause hearing fatigue (subjective).
– Qualitative:
- QUE: Balanced, linear, smooth, controlled, good definition.
- UTG: Lively, forward, energetic treble.
- QUE: Natural sparkle. Coherent.
- UTG: More accentuated sparkle. Coloration.
- QUE: Good detail.
- UTG: Great detail and airiness.
- QUE: Treble free of any problems.
- UTG: Treble are on the border of sibilance and harshness (depending on the recording).
- QUE: Drum cymbals present themselves “correctly.”
- UTG: Hi-hats or vocals may border on harshness.
- I wouldn’t recommend UTG for listening to Metal with a lot of hi-hat activity.
- UTG can cause some hearing fatigue over time (subjective).
Soundstage:
- QUE: Very good soundstage.
- UTG: Good/okay soundstage.
- QUE: Good sense of spatiality.
- UTG: Upper-mids and forward treble reduce the depth of the sound.
Imaging:
- Both provide a moderate/okay instrumental separation.
- UTG: performs better with high-pitched instruments; detailing also helps.
- Songs with a lot of instrumental activity end up having a lower performance.
- For example, in extreme Metal, the sense of separation is diminished.
- Overall, QUE has even better separation than UTG.
Driver Flex Test:
- I didn’t heard any driver flex when inserting the IEMs into my ears.
Amplification:
- Easy to push.
- No need powerful amplifier.
- A simple dongle is enough.
- I used with the FiiO KA11.
- Dongle connected to the computer.
- The UTG needed a bit more “volume.”
- QUE at 18 and UTG at 25 (out of 100 on the W10 scale).
- I haven’t tested the UTG at 4.4mm, but it’s possible it could benefit.
